Participation in the International BlueRights Conference in Budva

Student and early-career researcher Andrea Mastilo, as a member of the COST Action CA23103 BlueRights team, participated in the international conference “BlueRights International Conference on the Protection of Health at Sea”, held in Budva from March 25 to 27, 2026.

The conference brought together researchers, policymakers, and experts from various fields with the aim of addressing key issues related to the protection of health at sea. Over the three-day program, participants discussed working and living conditions on board ships, the mental health of seafarers, as well as challenges related to maintaining health in crisis and conflict situations.

As the youngest participant in the team, Andrea Mastilo emphasized that her participation in this event was an extremely valuable experience, allowing her to expand her knowledge, meet distinguished experts, and further strengthen her motivation for future research and academic work.

She also expressed special gratitude to Prof. Dr. Senka Šekularac-Ivošević for the excellent organization of the conference and its high professional and academic standards.

Participation in such international events highlights the importance of involving young researchers in contemporary scientific developments and contributes to their further professional growth.
